DISTANCEVIDEO
PARIS, FRANCE
This short-form video uses reverse motion to materialize the distortion of time that occurs when you miss someone you love. The clips were filmed during mundane, intimate moments often experienced alone, cooking, cleaning, and showering. While the audio layered over the video consists of old voicemails from loved ones I missed while living in another country. The film begins at the end of the day and moves in reverse toward the moment I woke up, reflecting the way time feels suspended when memories of those far away continually return.
