GRAPHIC DESIGN SILK-SCREENPRINTING

PARIS, FRANCE │ 2024

I created these designs by weaving images of the female form into macro photographs of spiderwebs. In contemporary media, women’s bodies are often sexualized and commodified. Used to generate profit, attention, and distraction.

Using bright, saturated colors associated with girlhood, such as pink and red, I wanted to mirror the overwhelming and chaotic nature of this visual environment. The compositions evoke the sensation of being caught in a web of sexualization.

Just as a spider uses its web to trap prey, women’s bodies are often treated as tools for capture and objects designed to attract, hold attention, and serve systems that profit from their display.
